Technology
The Ocean Cleanup develops autonomous systems that intercept plastic where it does the most harm. Its Interceptor boats in rivers prevent new plastic from reaching the ocean in the first place - because 80% of ocean plastic comes from just 1,000 rivers worldwide.
Measurable impact
Every kilogram is documented, and every action is communicated transparently. The Ocean Cleanup regularly publishes progress reports and scientific studies. You know exactly where the money goes and what it achieves - no empty promises.
Mission 2040
The ambitious goal: remove 90% of floating ocean plastic by 2040. A big promise - but the results so far show that it is achievable. And exactly this combination of vision and measurable success convinced us.

Seal it! - two meanings, one good idea.
Our name is no coincidence. It brings together two meanings that fit perfectly.
In English, seal means to close something airtight. We seal your food to keep it fresher for longer and reduce food waste.
Seal also means the animal. With this campaign, we help protect the home of seals suffering from plastic pollution.
When we saw how much single-use plastic our vacuum-sealing jars can save at home, we realized this was only the beginning. The problem does not end in the kitchen: millions of tonnes of plastic are already floating in our oceans. So we asked ourselves whether we could both avoid new plastic and help tackle the plastic already in the sea.
